“Orbit Didgeridoo” This instrument is made out of 2 parts splitwood Maple from the Netherlands. Together they form Orbit, the giant 429 cm long didgeridoo. It’s a multi drone/ multi tromphet instrument in the drone key’s C and Fb, tromphet key’s : G / C# / Fb / A / B .The drone C is like the “regular” C played keys, so easy to hit without any trouble. Those who are known with the drop drone technic, will losen their lips drastically, and than suddenly will hit this hidden Fb.The transaction from C to Fb takes a little practise to do it fluently, but onces you can hit it, you’re entering the world of the very low frequenties that lays around 35 Hz. After performing this instrument, people came up to me, wondering how big longcapacity is needed to play the Orbit, it’s surpises them how less air is needed to play the low drone. So with this very small aircompressing on the Fb drone , this instrument looses a lot of known well known didgeridoo technics, but is opens a whole new world of different percussive sounds where this instrument is well known for.
